Cart Game Prototype
A prototype for a puzzle game involving placing blocks and rolling minecarts.
One of my first serious forays into game development was an ambitious attempt to make a puzzle game with a block-based grid. I took inspiration from the joy of building mine cart roller-coasters in Minecraft, and set about making a game about placing track and building terrain to deliver a mine cart to its respective lift.
The grid system would be one of my simple, yet earliest accomplishments, and I would spend a lot of time getting to know Unity’s lighting and post-process systems as I started to import my own custom models and textures.
